Do your research to fit your needs, May 10, 2017 This review is from: Acer Aspire VX 15 Gaming Laptop, 7th Gen Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, 15.6 Full HD, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, VX5-591G-5652 (Personal Computers) To get it out of the way, yes it lacks color in the display. BUT IT CAN BE ADJUSTED! Many reviews state how washed out, dim, tinted, the colors are on this computer. I have found a couple of ways to fix this. Thanks to a customer in the comments under by review, he has stated "Color Intelligence" in the Acer Quick Access app the computer comes with, quickly makes the display more brighter without adjusting anything. For some reason by default, the screen is dark and this is fixed with the Color Intelligence being turned on. ALSO, in the Intel HD Graphics (right click your wallpaper then Display), you can adjust brightness and saturation. To add a little more color you can change the saturation. Color intelligence though is what really solved the issue of the display being TOO DARK, which it really is. I will continually update my review. This is day 2 have having this laptop. The Acer Aspire VX 15 Gaming Laptop is a powerhouse of a laptop at a very competitive price! Pros Excellent 15.6 inch IPS display with great viewing angles and good color 256GB m.2 SSD with an extra slot to add another drive (contact Acer for a complementary mounting kit). 16 GB of DDR4 2400 RAM out of the box New Pascal Nvidia GTX1050ti that will run most games on HIGH settings with a solid 60FPS Compact enough that you can easily take the system on the go, with a weight of just over 5 lbs Responsive track pad Excellent dual fan setup for keeping the system cool (running battlefield 1 I never reached more that about 70c) Neutral points Build is plastic but that keeps the weight down Not the best keyboard but certainly not the worst Battery life could be better but you can get a solid 5 hours of movie watching/surfing.
