Received it yesterday, and I've put this laptop to a whole lot of scrutiny and have barely managed to find flaws. Purchased as a high school graduation gift for my daughter who is headed off to college in the fall, this Acer Aspire E ticked off all of the specs on her wishlist and all the ‘gotta haves’ on mine. Being a techy sort of person I care what’s under the hood. I have owned many laptops using operating systems from Windows XP to the current 10, on hardware from all the top brands. Acer impressed me with their Acer Chromebook 15 CB5-571-C1DZ (15.6-Inch Full HD IPS, 4GB RAM, 16GB SSD) so much I’ve purchased them as gifts for both my husband and step-father. I think it is the perfect balance between the power and value that you really want from a computer. It really seems to have all of the most basic features you really would like to have in a computer: 4 processing threads running at a decent speed, an SSD of decent size for fast boot times, sufficient memory (4GB generally works, but this has 8GB) , a DVD burner, a full HD screen, a 12 hour battery life (haven't tested that yet, but it seems likely to approach that if you put it in the "battery saver" mode, multiple USB3 ports, bluetooth, a LAN adapter, both VGA and HDMI connectors that support multiple monitors, and what I consider to be very nice extra bonuses include a backlit keyboard and a decent nVidia graphics chip embedded.
