Most of them were manufactured in early 2015, They are just loading upgrades on the operating system and changing the memory and selling them as 2016 NEW VERSION. By the way, the Apple stores are doing the same thing. AND NO DISCLOSURE, NO DISCOUNT Not only did I think I was getting a newly manufactured MacBook Air, THE ONE I PURCHASE HERE ON AMAZONT HAD BEEN USED AND PASSED OFF AS NEW. First and foremost you are able to tell the date of your Mac by going to the Apple in the top left corner, click on it, go to about this Mac, it will give you the date and some of the specs of the model you have. There is also a tab that says storage, GUESS WHAT MINE HAD SOME OF THE GB AND MB USED, ON THINGS SUCH AS PHOTOS, MOVIES, MUSIC, ETC.... THERE WAS ALSO AN ENCRYPTED FILE IN THE DOCUMENTS BUT, TO TOP IT OFF, THERE WAS TRASH IN THE TRASH BIN! This new MacBook Air was in fact made in early 2015. It is brand new and came factory sealed and arrived in perfect condition as one would expect. The machine came as advertized with the correct amount of RAM and Storage, Software, Ports, Etc. The OS is Sierra but did require an update to the most current OS as did iTunes. I purchased this computer to use along side my 2010 MacBook Pro that has worked faithfully since new. I am not happy with the new MacBook Pro, as Apple has for some crazy reason, decided to remove ports like USB and SD Card Slots. The real deal killer, besides the ridiculous cost of the new Pro is that it has no "Magnetic" Charger cable port, this is one of the things that brought me to a MacBook in the first place. I had so much trouble with all of my past Windows (garbage) laptops and the charger plug ports wearing out, making the... This laptop does not have the retina display, but it doesn't matter since I've never had the opportunity to use one. I am blissfully untainted and unexposed to that technology, and that's just fine with me. The feel of the keys is slightly different from what I am familiar with on the MacBook Pro, but only slightly. I would describe the feel as a shorter distance required to cause a letter to appear on the screen. It's something that I believe I've gotten used to in the first day or so. The keyboard feels just as wide as on the MacBook Pro, so I'm happy about that. Because this computer uses SSD memory, its 1.6 GHz...
