5.0 out of 5 stars I'm pretty happy with this Mac Air, May 15, 2016

I'm pretty happy with this Mac Air. I bought it to replace my old Win8 machine, which took forever to boot though was otherwise an adequate machine. I love the boot time on this, and the solid state storage is quick. Battery life compared to my old machine is unreal. I liked the retina display on the Pro more, but I'm not an artist - I do spreadsheets, text documents and the occasional presentation, so this is fine. Indeed, if you aren't in a store doing side by side, you may never notice. So for me the speed, light weight and overall capability of this machine make it a great choice. It isn't an absolute top shelf portable, but it does what I need!

This review is from: Apple MMGG2LL/A MacBook Air 13.3-Inch Laptop (256 GB) NEWEST VERSION (Personal Computers)
Second Mac book air. First one the screen went bad after about 2 years. This new one already has display issues. Screen dims and goes fuzzy intermittently. Apple application's work well but only because Apples is so restrictive with interacting device (just good controls, nothing magical). Hardware wise I find them to be no better and perhaps worse than other manufactures. I own 5 apple laptops, and an I-Mac, routers and extenders and several other devices, so my opinion is not limited to just a few items. I will not recommend Apple to friends or family because of the value equation (lack of)
