I would like to add that I've tried to use the webcam and it is quite bad quality. I still like the power of this computer but it sucks that I can't use it to create videos for my website and YouTube channel.

Originally, I gave this review 5 stars, as you can see below. I am removing a star because the graphics/screen is pretty low quality. I have a horizontal line across my screen, and movies/TV aren't nearly as sharp as they are on other devices. Not the end of the world for me, but pretty close. I use this for graphic editing for my business and I like seeing movies as sharply as possible. Not delighted. Otherwise, what I wrote in July remains true.

I received this laptop yesterday evening, so today is my first day of using it. So far, I am impressed. I decided to name her Ember.

PROS:

1. To begin with, Ember is a speed demon. She's very fast, and that is great since I just took up programming and the like (think C#, Unity, ASP.NET, front-end applications with HTML 5 and CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.). My IDE (integrated development environment) is Visual Studio, and everything start-ups in less than a second, not to mention that app load-up times is less than 2 seconds.

2. Ember is also great at multitasking. I've had a previous Asus (don't remember the edition or model) and even a 2015 MacBook Air, but they fall short when it comes to running several programs and applications. So far I've been able to run a full scan with Windows Defender, download Microsoft Office 2016, download Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio Community Edition 2015, browse my emails, and listen to... gorgeous laptop with excellent performance for it's price, although not a "gaming" laptop I have no problem running games as far as DA:I, the only reason I rate 4 out of 5 stars is because i'm not crazy about the touchpad which is an important factor to me, scrolling up and down is awkward and it seems like the mouse clicks or "jumps" at times but it is not unmanageable and I just may need to get used to it, either way that is just my honest first impression of it and I love everything else, especially the clear sound and beautiful display.
