Apparently they're still using images from the older JW model along with the specifications. UX501VW is the latest UX501 line and it's great. I'm coming from an Asus n550JV and this is everything and a little more. The keyboard seems the same, but I'm not getting any mis key strikes on this one. Touchpad: I'm very used to the Asus touchpad and have never had any issues moving around. I usually use the touchpad in Lightroom and Photoshop. This pad is no different and is very good in my opinion. Touch screen: I never understood why anyone would want to get finger prints all over the screen. Seems silly. The screen does move a little on touch. I don't have any plans on using the touch screen. Body: All aluminum, doesn't move or flex. No flex in keyboard either. It has a USB Type C connection (same as my Nexus5x, though it's not documented on any site this is listed. It says USB 3.0... THIN, LIGHT, POWERFUL WORKSTATION! Great deal for the specs! I bought this laptop to dual boot Ubuntu (Linux) as well as Windows 10. My personal use case is heavy duty software development -- I also use it for DJing, music production, and the occasional game of Portal :) Note that this is a quad core machine that sucks a lot of power (has a 19V 6.32A power brick!). On moderate load, you'll get maybe 5 hours of battery life in both Windows and Ubuntu, I get maybe 2 or 3 when pushing the CPU. Remember this is meant to be a professional workstation. If you're working with things like SolidWorks/CAD, music/video production, software development, scientific computing, gaming or just like to have thousands of browser tabs open -- well then this is the computer for you! If you need something with more stamina, can make it through an 8 hour flight, and are just doing PowerPoint, web browsing, watching videos, etc, I'd recommend going with... Pros: - High performance: Measured by using Microsoft visual studios 2015 to write code, Chrome browser, one note, excel, word, internet connection. - Good keyboard - Great wifi - Super fast SSD, boots in a few seconds. - Amazing display. No issues with colors and I don’t notice problems with the glossy display. The laptop is sitting next to a BenQ monitor. No difference between the two - I love the touch screen. I never thought that I would use it until I had it. - Track pad is average. Not bad, just average - Stable drivers - Solid construction Cons: Two issues. 1. Malware in the Microsoft edge browser 2. The McAffee virus protection came disabled Malware in the Microsoft edge browser: shortly after turning on the computer I...
