This was purchased to replace an older model that my boyfriend used to mainly surf the web,(ebay, facebook, etc). The laptop was on sale and for the price, it has sufficient speed and memory for basic use and can't go wrong for $328!! The added plus is I was able to work with Windows 10 to add my account as a second Admin easy enough and it fits in to our home network with ease finding the wireless printers and installing everything needed to print without having to find driver disks! Since I purchased a wireless mouse from Technet, I really will not be using the touch pad which I really find annoying on any machine, just a personal preference. The keyboard is ok, getting used to the response, kind of different than what I'm used to compared to HP keyboards and the older Dell I have but it will not be used much for the purpose this was purchased for. Also pleased with the graphics quality for... This machine seemed to fit the bill. I have a high end desk top that I use for high demand workload stuff...video editing, etc. What I needed was a laptop that was reasonably quick, reliable and wasn't going to put me further into debt than my degree already is. This machine met my needs. So far it is fast enough for what I need it for (have 2GB more RAM on the way to compensate for Win 10). I wasn't looking for a powerhouse, just a student laptop. If you are looking for a machine for casual work, school or browsing, this is a great option. Screen and touchpad are great, like the numerical keypad as well for Excel applications. Anyway, consider this if your needs sound similar to mine. Most laptops with the specs this one has are over 500 dollars easy. I searched long and hard for two days before finding this deal. Told some co-workers about it and they ordered one too. When it got to my house, I booted it up, loaded office and an anti-virus on it, tweaked the settings for max performance and gave it to my wife who loves it. 6GB of RAM is about what you need to run Win 10 smoothly over time. After a few months of use, the 4GB ones start lagging and the ones with only 2...forget it. Good processor too, once again, exactly what I was looking for.
So far all is good on the home front. Will report back after we've had it for a bit. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? |
