I really really love the price and performance of this machine, it handles CAD work, gaming and editing projects like a dream with it's 6700HQ and 4gb 960m. The 4k screen is vivid and even at 15.6 inches with display scaling in windows 10 it is very usable. The laptop does not get too toasty even while gaming at 4k with lowered settings, but while rendering a project in Maya I do make sure to prop it up a little bit more so it can get a bit more ventilation. The SSHD is passable, with livable latency at the moment, I will definitely be purchasing my own SSD to put into the MSATA port in the near future. The keyboard could be better, the touchpad is not great, but once you adjust to it and it's strange acceleration curve is usable, but not reliable for productivity like what you see on macbooks. Overall build quality is pretty good, I've never had a laptop this expensive before, but even made of plastic, it feels sturdy enough for how I treat my products, I don't feel like I need to... This is my first gaming laptop and I absolutely love it. I installed the extra 8GB ram and a 500gb SSD and it runs games so well! And such a simple process with the additions.

The Witcher 3 will run high/ultra setting at 1080P with no stuttering , no issues whatsoever. I also love the ability to pickup games from 2010-2015 and play them with much higher graphics fidelity than any console titles can offer today. I have been going back and playing so many titles I had previously played on PS3/4 and it's like a brand new game. Great Value from Dell here !

I liked this laptop but returned due to heating issue. Ascetics is not a major issue for me. I am looking for quality and longevity in my electronic devices. Made the mistake once and kept an electronic that had overheating issues, and I will not do that again.
