Let me start by saying this appears to be a beautiful laptop: the picture looks great, and I am quite pleased with what I see out of the box. I am giving this product only three stars because despite the positives, I feel I was misled into buying this computer. I choose this laptop over others because of two words: "Signature Edition." Signature Edition PCs are supposed to be high-quality computers specifically chosen by Microsoft to be sold with Windows minus all the crapware computer manufacturers load their products up with. Now I know why companies like HP load their PCs up with non-essential bloatware, and I accept the fact, but when I buy something that is purportedly Signature Edition, I expect to have only the operating system and nothing else. As soon as I set this computer up, I immediately went to the control panel to ensure that only Windows was running, and I was shocked to see no fewer than thirty programs running. Love it!! I'm on the computer everyday and haven't had any problems. When i first booted it up it took me about 2 hours to get it updated and fixed the way that i want it. I was worried about using windows 10 because i was transitioning from a old Windows XP to Windows 10, the Walk-through guide made it very easy. I was excited to see that i could use apps on it and be on the Xbox app as well. This make's it very easy for me to chat with my friends.

The battery lasts about 3 hours with out being on the charger, which isn't too bad but i had hoped it would last longer. The sound quality is very good as is the quality of the webcam.

Would not accept password the day after completing set up. Invested over 2 hours with Microsoft tech. No success. She suggested I purchase a $50+ external drive media to reinstall windows 10. Placed order. Soon thereafter the same day I located a site on the web from either Microsoft or HP. It included a program to solve problem. It worked and the computer has performed since. Alli want is to return the external drive and get my $50 plus postage. Any help from Amazon would be appreciated. No more big tickets will be purchased online.
