Had to remove a lot of excessive bloat ware from HP. Had to remove trial version of Office as well. It started putting an Office icon on a lot of my files and I didn't even click to try the trial version. Once I removed Office Trial Version the files went back to normal. Also something from HP installed an Adware program to prevent adware, but the program would play random ads you anytime it wanted to. Could not remove this program. Had to install System Mechanic Pro, and that finally removed it from the computer. Right off the getgo System Mechanic Pro found several of the Drivers out of date on a brand new computer, and updated them. After that everything has been running okay. Speed is excellent. Speakers are Excellent for a laptop. The DTS Audio is very good. Speakers are ontop near the keyboard and are plenty loud. Keyboard is hard to get used to. It's very hard to the touch. So far so good, left hand pad works great since I also use a wireless mouse. It was initially making noise from the fan, however once I chose Balanced for Power Options, from the Control Panel, there is no noise from the fan at all and the performance is still great. Would definitely recommend it. I have installed many software applications, and it handles them well. One problem I have is that the battery will not hold a charge. I have run a number of tests, and the battery completely loses it's charge within 36 hours, and that is with me only turning it on every 12 hours to check the battery. I have sent the selling company (HotDeal Express) a message and will update this review after I hear back from them. I purchased the laptop at the end of November, 2016. I can't imagine there is not some kind of warranty still in-effect.
