They've been the deal of the day a number of times and I've bought them elsewhere too. They usually sell out as the Deal of the Day. I'm a computer tech who works with some small offices that need windows touch screen computers for an app or two. I also think they make a great student laptop. This third gen has an updated processor, a little longer battery life, and supposedly a little stronger frame. These are in no way a powerhouse, but for a laptop of this size and price they're very nice. It works well as a laptop and it works well as a tablet when you flip the screen all the way over. For this "Deal of the Day" Woot or Amazon made a new product page so that's why the only review is from today. Yes they're clunky. For their size they have a big bezel around the screen, they are a little heavier than you would expect, and they aren't as thin as some. The Amazon weight is totally... The SSD in them makes up for the CPU -makes it seem more like an i3 than a celeron, and the display is fantastic. I've had 11.3" laptops with full HD screens - this one is better. The full HD was so small that it messed up my eyes - these screens are crisp and I don't have to wear reading glasses.
No, you won't be playing the latest 3D games on it, but for web surfing or basic work, they do the job while still staying portable. Forget a Chromebook - get one of these and stick with Windows!
Our school district pays in excess of $550 for these through our supplier - snatch them up at this price while you can! But I did want to experiment with Win10, and the Yoga is a great way to do it. Pro: Minimal bloatware included, adequate RAM and SSD, does tablet and laptop modes, fast enough for intended student use, value for money. Con: Heavy, won't be going on any out-of-town trips Bottom line: Don't confuse this with a premium or gaming laptop, but get it if you have kids who would use it (rugged), or you want to play with Win10 before spending serious money.
