I used this as a Window machine for a few months after switching from a MacBook Pro that I was using for years.. then remembered why I hated Windows. So, Ubuntu was thrown on here and I haven't looked back. I've used this device for almost a year now (Apr. '16 - now) My review will reflect it's usage as a linux machine.

I really enjoy using this. Granted, I have no use for tablet mode anymore (besides, it was awkward even as a Windows machine, since the keyboard's keys are now on the bottom and you can feel them), I use the touchscreen almost daily, and that's worked without a hitch. My only real gripe about this machine (even as Windows) is the power button. Located on the side, I've accidentally hit it a few times and it's powered down. But it happens infrequently enough that it's not too much of a bother.

So many usb ports. Your dedicated left and right ones, the USB-C port, and if you just need that one extra, unplug it and use the outlet. Perfect. It doesn't... Read more

I've read many professional and consumer reviews on this laptop and am so glad that I decided to purchase it. I've thought of upgrading to the 16 gig and 512ssd drive, but it really is more powerful than what I truly need with the 8gig and 256ssd drive. The screen resolution is amazing and I personally like the keyboard better than the Yoga 3 Pro that I originally purchased but had to return.

The speakers leave something to be desired. I love listening to music and I do feel that they could improve this feature in the future.

The battery life is amazing. Contrary to professional reviews, I can open it with one hand. It boots up super fast and I never have any connection problems at all and it is STILL super fast when I have 15+ windows open! Downloading is very quick which I love.

One problem I did have was the fan ran all the time. It was loud and sounded like a train in the distance. I read a professional review where they mentioned this... Read more

Excellent Ultra-Portable. The only reason I am giving it 1 star less is that the maximum Screen Brightness is lower than one would expect from such a high spec qhd display. On the bright side it will save your eyes from strain while indoors! The Charger power block is light weight and easy to lug around but then so is the laptop itself. No more ugly bulges from your compact carry bag.

On the performance front, there are no issues. Windows 10 runs smoothly even with multi tasking and an Anti virus running in the background. Software installations are quick and there is no unnecessary lag.

The Keyboard can take a little time to get used to, and the power button placement on the side edge is an annoyance. Also switching the backlight on and off requires the use of Lenovo software with no dedicated hot key.

Other than these minor quirks it is a product offering great value for money and gets the work done!
