Aluminum Black MSI GE72 Apache Pro-003 17.3 Inches Laptop Review

I've had about two weeks with this product now. So far everything is working great. It gets pretty warm on the keys when you're gaming, but I suppose that is to be expected. I'm giving this five stars because the cons so far have been really minor and the performance has been fantastic.

Pros:
Fast, able to run modern games at high fps
Colored lights for keyboard looks awesome
Great looking screen with good viewing angles
Plenty of ports
Button to turn fans on max
Very little bloatware (only Nortons which was uninstalled promptly)
Good speakers

Cons:
textured touch pad. I didn't really care for this.
Speakers come out the front. This is a very minor con, but it does make the sound come from the front of the laptop if you're hovering over the keyboard.
Finger print magnet. This thing soaks up fingerprint oil.
Power connector is not exactly loose, but if I'm using it on my lap tends to work itself out a bit. It... Read more

The MSI GE72 Apache Pro is one of the most laden laptops you can buy. The specs are truly exceptional and something your more likely to find in a desktop than a laptop. The latest Intel Core i7-6700HQ quad core processor, NVidia GTX960M with 2Gb of DDR5 memory onboard, 16Gb of DDR4 memory running at 2133MHz, a full HD (1920x1080) Anti Glare screen, 1Tb hard drive running at 7200rpm (laptops normally only come with hard drives running at 5400rpm), a DVD drive, USB 3 ports, SD card slot, Built in 802.11Ac wifi etc. etc. This laptop has everything that you could want, or does it?

The first thing you have to bear in mind is that this is a full 17.3 inch laptop so is quite a lot larger than those you normally see or buy. The added benefit of this space is that you get a full keyboard including numeric keypad and it gives the laptop lots of room to put in all those nice goodies mentioned above whilst still being able to keep itself relatively cool.

I have never used a faster computer than this. The 6th Generation i7Core with 16GB of DDR5 doesn't have a problem doing anything that I ask it to do.This laptop is impressively packaged, complete with screen cleaning cloth and keychain! The keyboard is tri-color backlit and very quiet when you type on it. The emblem on the back of the screen lights up like an apple would do on a Macintosh. My son plays an online game called ARK Survival Evolved. The game is not officially released yet, so the graphics are not yet totally optimized. This means that most people can't even play the game unless they are those with high-end graphics cards. The graphics card in this computer is impressive. There are default settings in the game for low, medium, high, and epic. On the HIGH setting, this laptop plays without any lag, no flinches, and beautiful high definition.
