Very nice computer and all of the advantages of a 17.,
February 20, 2016 This review is from: Toshiba Satellite C75-C7130 C75-C/7130 17.3" Laptop (Brushed Black) (Personal Computers)
I have a twelve hundred dollar HP i7 as well as this Toshiba Laptop. Both are 17" screens. So at less than half the price of the HP what is missing? First let me tell you what is not. They both are 17's and with Windows new split screen feature, that means you can click and hold onto the title bar while you drag it to the extreme right or left; you will see a transparent border arrive which means you did it properly. Let go and the program or window will be completely on that side. It will also be like a full screen view, no need to move borders. Then you can open a separate program and do the same thing on the other side. So for example you can watch a movie on one side and do some work, or check email on the other. With a 17 it makes that feature a real advantage.
The Toshiba has 6 Gig of ram instead of twelve like the much more expensive HP. It has a 750GB drive instead of a terabyte which isn't that big of a deal. The chip is an i3 instead of an i7. None of these...

Okay, time for me to save 90 percent of Amazon shoppers some serious shopping time...
People who should avoid this laptop...
Serious front end developers who need more than 3 applications on at the same time all the time...
Photographers who use Adobe Creative Cloud...
Gamers with Steam who demand optimal performance...
Audiophiles who don't have headphones or speakers to connect to...
Travelers of any kind...
If you fit one or more of these classifications, go ahead, back out now, you won't be disappointed, and yes, you're welcome.
Okay, now that I got the negative out of the way...let's get to the strengths of this machine.
As I have always said, reviewing electronics is inane and contrived. The only thing a person should have to review is whether or not the device or machine turned on, turned of, didn't crash, and operated with efficient parameters.
This whole notion of reviewing a machine because it...

Nice Large Screen Value Computer,
March 19, 2016 This review is from: Toshiba Satellite C75-C7130 C75-C/7130 17.3" Laptop (Brushed Black) (Personal Computers)
This laptop has been used by various family members over the last month or so and it has gotten good marks. As long as you accept Windows 10 into your life, are not planning to carry this around with you every day, and are not doing serious graphics work or gaming, this laptop should make you happy.
I would call this a desktop replacement, because it has a huge 17” HD monitor and weighs a hefty 5.7lbs. The overall size is 11” x 16.2” x 1”, a large footprint for a laptop.
This laptop is nice looking in an austere way. The case is a brushed matte black resin that defies fingerprints.
The keyboard is full-sized and has a numeric pad on the right. The squared off keys are responsive. There is a large touch pad with a left and right click button
The large screen is a very nice feature. The resolution is nothing special (1600 x 900) but it is clear and bright and did I mention, extremely large. It’s very good for...
