(I will buy another one), January 23, 2017 This review is from: Razer Blade Stealth 12.5" 4K Touchscreen Ultrabook (7th Generation Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 10) (Personal Computers) Customer Video Review Length:: 0:53 Mins
Here is the thing. This laptop is so well designed. It really it. I think the screen could be larger and the bezels smaller, but all in all it is an amazing design. It has ports a plenty for such a small computer, and the screen is just flawless. Like amazingly beautiful and FLAWLESS! The webcam is solid, has plenty of memory, and a good sized SSD. I have been wanting a Razer system for a very long time. I have been very upset with Apple for the design of the new MacBook Pro. Now, having said that, here is my experience. The fan is absolutely horrible in this computer. Now that I have gotten it and heard it, I have found others on YouTube with the same exact fan sound coming from their system. Specification-wise, it is at the absolute top of its class and for what you're getting, it's pretty much spot-on price-wise, too. As a reference, I was comparing this to a nearly-identically spec'd Dell XPS 13 and a slightly-lower spec'd Lenovo X1 Carbon, but decided that I liked the way this one looked, plus it had some cool features neither one of the others had. Unfortunately, I started having issues the moment I started it up for the first time. I'm not totally sure this is Razer's fault or just a design flaw on Intel's part (as I have read of the same issue occurring in other Kaby Lake equipped ultrabooks, namely the XPS 13 and Asus Zenbook), but this laptop suffers pretty severely from a phenomenon known as "coil whine." It's a very high-pitched electronic hissing noise that sounds somewhat like hissing coming from the speakers, but it seems to happen when the processor is under load - especially when the power...
