16 of 19 people found the following review helpful Great overall quality, performance and battery life, but a reflective screen and terrible touchpad are the major drawbacks, November 27, 2015 This review is from: Toshiba Radius 14" Touch-screen Laptop - 5th Gen Intel Core / 6GB Memory / 500GB HD/ Webcam / Windows 10 Brushed Black/Brushed Metal (Personal Computers) I bought this from Best Buy and will return it, because of the terrible touch pad and the slightly bothersome reflective screen. The notebook itself is very good for its price point. I have been using it daily for 1 week. The build quality feels solid, battery life is great - it lasts me through a day on medium screen brightness with wifi on, bluetooth off and doing mostly web browsing (no videos) and note taking. When plugged into an outlet, the battery recharges quickly. I am not sure what to make of the tablet functionality. The screen can be flipped over all the way and turns it into something that looks like a tablet. However, while the device is on the lighter side for a laptop given its battery life, it just feels too heavy to be mistaken for a tablet. It is too heavy to hold it up for more than 1 or 2 minutes, so it ends up sitting on my lap and getting heavy too. Windows 10 automatically offers to switch into tablet mode, but as long as the software is... It's a solid pc with a solid feel. Keys (as reported) are smaller than I was used to; I adjusted within a few days. Battery life is very good and it's fast for what I need it for (business use, online classes, MS Office, Netflix, etc.) I use it as a laptop and haven't really used it as a tablet, but I agree that this is a full-time laptop with a part-time tablet feature (it is a 14-in screen, after all). I read about glare problems before I bought: it's true, but really no more (or at least not much more) than my last pc (a Vaio).
For the price I am very satisfied. I've had Toshibas before and they've never dissapointed. This one is no different. Someone in the questions had said the keyboard was back-lit so I was hoping but not expecting and mine is not back-lit. Haven't found anything else to complain about really. The battery life is awesome at 5-7 hours depending on what you're using it for, the touch screen is very responsive and I love that I can rotate the screen and use like a tablet if i want.
